I have spent lots of time listening to quite a few great banjo players, but Wade Ward's playing has especially influenced the way I play the banjo. In this short collection of tunes that Wade played, I tried to capture some of his style and phrasing while allowing myself to take some liberties.

Here is a small collection of some tunes that Mitch and Sophie Wellington recorded in the winter of 2024 at Mitch and Fabi’s finca in Beas de Granada, Spain. Sophie and Mitch met in 2018 through old-time music connections in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, and have been playing music together since then whenever they cross paths.
