I have spent lots of time listening to quite a few great banjo players, but Wade Ward's playing has especially influenced the way I play the banjo. In this short collection of tunes that Wade played, I tried to capture some of his style and phrasing while allowing myself to take some liberties.

Here is a small collection of some of our favorite old-time fiddle tunes recorded in the winter of 2024 at Mitch and Fabi’s finca in Beas de Granada, Andalucía, Spain. Sophie and Mitch met in 2018 through old-time music connections in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, and have been playing music together since then whenever they cross paths.
